HKRSC: Our AGM, Scott Nisbet, Running for Jack & our opening league game

Here are some various club announcements ahead of the new season……..
.
AGM & Annual Fees:
First of all many thanks for everyone that came along to the AGM. It was all very quick (!) & straightforward with no significant changes. Our fees remain the same, and we would now ask for everyone to pay their annual fees as soon as possible.
Details of the fee table can be found on our website: https://rangers.hk/membership/
This can be done either by transfer to our bank account at HSBC, or to our RSC PayPal account.
Our bank account details are as follows:
Bank:                    HSBC
Company Name:  THE RANGERS SUPPORTERS CLUB – HONG KONG CHAPTER
Account No.: 741 084123 838

If you would prefer to pay via PayPal, payment can be made using this email address: secretary@rangers.hk , or if you prefer let me know and I can send a PayPal invoice.

When you make a payment, please can you send a record of your payment to our club treasurer Andy Ross at the following email address: andyross625@gmail.com and also copy to the secretary@rangers.hk email address too for record.

I’d also like to thank Paul Kay for compiling the following YouTube playlist from a select and scientific HKRSC member poll that he conducted. The playlist was viewed in the Trafalgar following the AGM: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhqmNrWQRM7ZfFIA1fN-DcN0Anei4tN9H

Scott Nisbet
As you may have seen, former Rangers player and regular at the Hong Kong Soccer 7s, Scott Nisbet has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Scott has 4 kidney tumours and requires life-threatening surgery. The former Rangers Players Benevolent Fund has set up the following JustGiving page. As agreed at the AGM, the HKRSC has already made a donation of £250. See attached. If you would also like to make a personal contribution, you can do so here:
https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/ScottNisbet
Scott has been sending some video messages to Colin Stewart (trustee at the former Rangers Players charity) which he has been sharing on his Twitter feed. You can follow Colin on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/RFC_Colin
He is in very good spirits and his messages are very entertaining too!

Running for Jack
We were very recently contacted by Lorna McCabe, a Hong Kong resident and very close friend of Louise Stevens, the wife of former Rangers players Gary Stevens. Gary and his family now reside in Perth, Australia and recently received the shattering news that their beloved son Jack had Leukaemia. Jack is the youngest of their 3 boys and just turned 3 on the 12th June. As part of a fund raising drive to help her friends, Lorna will be running a virtual marathon here in Hong Kong this coming Saturday morning. She will start at 5:30am in the morning and will run a total of 42.2km along Bowen Road. Lorna has been very kind to also share some family photos from the Stevens family (below). You can read the full bio and make a donation to Lorna via the following link (Please note that donations are listed in Aussie dollars): https://www.gofundme.com/f/ght6t-running-for-jack
Lorna also has set up a Twitter account for her run which I would encourage any Twitter users to follow and help spread her message: https://twitter.com/runningforjack

Rangers vs Sheep (a)
In terms of our opening league match against the sheep this coming Saturday, due to the current social distancing measures the Trafalgar, and all other bars, will be closed for this match, hence it looks like it’s going to be Rangers TV from home for us all.
You can sign up for Rangers TV here: https://tv.rangers.co.uk/
