Last weekend was our first match we have watched in the Trafalgar and even at such late notice we had a very good turnout All seemed to enjoy the new surroundings and I’m glad to say they will show our remaining three fixtures starting tonight as we face Peterhead at Ibrox.
Getting onto last weekends game, it was actually quite an enjoyable game to watch especially with so many of the youth players getting a run out. Andy Mitchell was quite rightly given the Man of the Match award and I hope he is given a new contract. Many of you will remember Andy having played on 2 separate occasions at the Soccer 7s and I’m sure some the players that are getting their first team chance at the moment we will see in a few weeks over here!
.
Which leads us onto the 7s……it’s now less than 5 weeks away until the event. The draw has now taken place which I have attached.
The stand-out draw is the Rangers Legends being paired with last years tournament winners the Ajax All Stars. That is bound to be quite a showdown! Just today Jari Litmanen and Aron Winter have been named as part of the Ajax squad!
.
Once again, if you are planning to come along please purchase your tickets in advance. I can’t reiterate strongly enough that to assist with our planning of the events properly we really need to know how many people are coming.

Wednesday 22nd May – Happy Valley Races:
At the moment the race night is up in the air as to what we are going to do. We have managed to book one box but this only holds 20 people but we are also in the ballot for a second box (which is next to our first booking). We won’t find out until the 22nd, so all will be clear in the next few days.
.
Thursday 23rd May – Sportsman’s Dinner:
We have now launched the tickets for the Soccer 7s Sportsman’s dinner. We have already provisionally booked 4 tables and our plan is that we will have at least 2 of the Rangers Legends sat at each table. With those coming from overseas, we think the tables will fill up pretty fast.
Tickets are $800 each and include welcome drinks and a buffet meal. Joe Jordan is the guest speaker this year in what is the curtain raiser to the Soccer 7s event. The Rangers Youth team will be in attendance too, so as per usual it would be great to have a strong presence in what is always an enjoyable evening.
.
Saturday 25th May – Main ORSA Dinner / Junk Trip:
For the Saturday night main dinner and junk trip, tickets are $750 all inclusive, so junk hire, dinner and all drinks. Tickets can be purchased here:
