Bears,
We had another dose of reality during the week as Inverness Caley Thistle came to Ibrox and promptly dumped us out of the League Cup.
If you can bear to watch the highlights you will see we had chances to score, but it would only have glossed over the fact our defence is very shaky at the moment and it has to improve significantly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ib0Ng2zBl4
Possibly even more galling is that the man of the match was Andrew Shinnie who we all know well from the Soccer 7s a few years ago when he comfortably won the player of the tournament. We could all see he was a very talented player and when Rangers released him soon after it was a surprise to many.
However, that is now in the past and tonight we can look forward to our third round Scottish Cup tie against Alloa Athletic which will be played at Ibrox.
As always this game will be shown live in Amici via Rangers TV and as the clocks changed back home last weekend we have the extra hour to contend with, so this game will kick-off at 11pm local time.
In other news there are strong rumours that an agreement is in place to appoint Walter Smith to the Rangers board. If this comes off this will certainly be a major coup for Charles Green ahead of the share issue. We shall see what transpires.
