Rangers vs Celtc (Hampden) – Sunday 20 March 2011 @ 11.00pm live in Amici.
Early this morning Rangers finally succumbed in the Europa League. A very limp-wristed first half saw Rangers fall behind early in the first half and even with a much improved second-half display we couldn’t break down the PSV defence. In saying that we were denied 2 clear penalties, one which would have resulted in a straight red card for handball on the goal line. So thumbs up to Uefa for the extra officials behind the goal. Clearly well worth it!
To be honest I never wanted to help boost the Irish economy anyway 😉
One other potential drawback from this mornings match is the likely withdrawal of Bartley from the Cup Final squad for Sunday having twisted his knee late in the game. He is already rated as extremely doubtful and this will be a major blow in our efforts to win the seasons first piece of silverware.Lafferty is also doubtful, but that seems more like a bonus if anything.Another bonus was the excellent performance last night of Wylde as you will be able to see in the highlights.
So it’s therefore onto Sunday’s Cup Final. Unfortunately the match is not being covered by any TV stations here, so we will need to watch the match via Rangers TV.
As ever Amici will show this for us, with the game kicking-off at 11pm.
