Rangers vs Kilmarnock – Sunday 13 March 2011 @ 11.00pm live in Amici.
A very strong, disciplined performance by the Teddy Bears early this morning earned themselves a very well deserved draw against a very decent PSV side.
Bartley was the standout performer for me, although the entire back 5 were immense. Foster & Whittaker just seem to thrive in European fixtures.
This draw gives Rangers a wonderful chance to progress into the last 8 of the Europa League when the teams reconvene in Glasgow next Friday morning.
I have no doubt we will employ the same tactics, but if we can somehow give the type of performance we did against Valencia not so long ago, then I think we have a very decent chance of progressing. As it stands we are 5 games away from the final in Dublin. Surely not……
Highlights here:
It’s back to SPL duty this coming Sunday evening as Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox.
Rangers will hopefully have Jelavic back in the team. Other significant news is that Killie playmaker Ermenko is suspended following a red card last week at Hearts. He really pulls the strings for Kilmarnock so this can only help in our quest for 3 valuable points.
Celtc play away to Inverness in the Scottish Cup, so this provides Rangers with a chance to move within 2 points of the great unwashed.
Hopefully Big Terry will do everyone a favour and dump these creatures out of the cup!
Sunday nights game kicks-off at 11.00pm and will be shown live in Amici via Rangers TV, as this game is not being covered by Goal TV.
