Celtc vs Rangers – Sunday 20 February 2011 @ 8.30pm live in Amici.
Another ultimately disappointing result in the early hours of this morning as Rangers failed to hold onto a one goal advantage against a fairly poor Sporting Lisbon side. We were pretty dreadful in the first half but that all changed in the second half as we started to knock the ball around with more purpose and confidence which led to a deserved lead. This is the point we should have went for the kill, but like so many other occasions we decided to defend the one goal lead. We know have to travel to Lisbon for next Thursdays return leg and score.
Next up of course are Plastic Paddies at the Tattiedome this coming Sunday in the SPL. This game will be huge in the race for the title. There is no doubt that they are on a bit of a run just now whereas we seem to be a bit unsure of ourselves. This is a complete role reversal from the game on January 2nd game and looked how that one turned out. Thankfully Jelavic will return to the side as well as Naismith and maybe Bartley all of whom never played against Sporting. It seems Ness is out already having sustained an injury during the warm-up of the Europa Cup tie.
The match kicks off at 8.30pm and will be shown live in Amici via Goal TV1.
